Studio in Madrid since 2013

About Queima
Queima Films is a film studio specialising in architecture, interiors and design. Since 2013 we have been filming for studios and brands that care about every detail of their spaces.
Every place has its own light and context, and our job is for the film to convey them with the same intention with which the space was designed.

Behind the camera

Carlos Cortés
Founder
My work is about bringing a space into the moving image: understanding what its author set out to say, and finding the light and rhythm that convey it.
Early on, press photography taught me to look closely and get to the essentials. Today I bring that discipline to architecture: fewer shots, better chosen.
Queima works as a network of specialists that I bring together according to the scale and type of each project. That way every shoot has exactly the right team, and a single point of contact from start to finish.
How I got here
2008
Faro de Vigo
My first job with a camera, as a photographer for my hometown newspaper.
2012
First film for AD España
Two years after moving to Madrid to continue my studies, I shot my first piece for the magazine.
2013
Queima Films is born
I set up the studio in Madrid to work in film full-time.
Today
Architecture and interiors
Since 2018 we have focused on spaces, for brands such as El Corte Inglés, Grupo Cosentino, Lizzo, Point and External Reference.
How we work
01
Observe
Before shooting, we study the project with the people who designed it: what they set out to say, how the light moves through the day and which details define it.
02
Shoot
Wide shots to place the space, close-ups to get near the materials, and framing that respects the architecture: indoors, outdoors and from the air.
03
Edit
We give each space its own rhythm and prepare the versions you need for the web and social media, horizontal and vertical, without losing the tone.

Formats
Every project calls for its own rhythm. Tell us what you want to show and we'll suggest the format that tells it best.
Project reel
A finished space in 60-90 seconds. The piece to present a project on the web and on social media.
Project film
The whole project, told calmly in 2-3 minutes, from context to detail.
Furniture launch
A single piece or a collection, filmed in the studio or in the space it was designed for.
